Answer: South Carolina Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors is the State of South Carolina's affiliate organization of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).

Question: If you are a member of NAADAC are you a member of SCAADAC?

Answer: Yes your NAADAC membership dues include your membership in  SCAADAC. 

Question: Can I maintain my membership in SCAADAC and live in another state?

Yes, the State dues that are a part of the annual dues you pay to NAADAC will remain in the State where you designate.

Question: How do I become a Certified Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor?

Question: Do I have to be certified or licensed addictions counselor to become a member of SCAADAC?

Answer: Certification or licensure is not a requirement for membership.

Question: Do I have to be a SCAADAC member to be a Certified Addictions Counselor?

Answer: No. However it is to your benefit to become a member since a member enjoys several benefits such as reduced fees for all education programs, certification fees, testing fees, and re-certification fees.
